Therapy
A quiet room for what is present — without rush and without a fixed answer.
I work from gestalt therapy: an approach that starts from what is happening here and now — between you and me, in your feelings, your body and your relationships.
What is gestalt therapy?
Gestalt therapy is not about telling you what you ought to do. It is about becoming more aware of yourself — of what you feel, think and avoid — and of how you are in contact with yourself and with others.
In the sessions we can explore what is alive for you right now. That might be grief, longing, anger, emptiness, or a sense of having come to a standstill. We follow what arises, at a pace that suits you.
Focus on loss, grief and the existential
My particular focus is loss and grief — and the existential questions that often come with them: Who am I now? How do I live on with what has been lost? How do I find meaning in the life that is here?
I do not believe grief necessarily has to be “got through”. I believe we can learn to live with what we have lost — and slowly find out what life can look like now.
Supervision after sessions — what does that mean?
I am a third-year psychotherapy student at the Gestalt Institute of Scandinavia and therefore may not yet practise fully independently. Supervision means that I receive professional guidance from an experienced therapist about my work afterwards — not during the session itself. It typically happens without using your full name, with a focus on you being met safely and responsibly.
You and I are alone in the room during the session. Supervision is a fixed part of the training, and it matters to me that you know this from the start. You are always welcome to ask what it means for our work together.
Price
A session costs DKK 350 for 50 minutes. This is a student rate while I am in training and receive supervision after sessions. I think it is important to be open about that.
Practical details
Sessions take place in person — not online yet. A session lasts 50 minutes. The address will be updated soon; this is a physical practice, and the location will be announced when it is in place.
A possible course of sessions
Gestalt therapy is process-oriented — not a fixed protocol. Below is one possible course of typically 6–9 sessions, which many people experience as a natural rhythm. Your course may be shorter or longer, and we adapt it along the way to you.
-
First meeting
Safety, expectations, and what is present for you right now.
-
Making room for grief
Feelings, the body, and the story of the loss — at your pace.
-
Relationships and what is hard to carry alone
How the loss touches you in meeting others — and yourself.
-
Living with
Meaning, everyday life and the existential: what life can look like now.
-
Closing
What you take with you — perhaps a pause, a continuation, or an ending.
Every person and every loss is unique. The number of sessions is agreed as we go, and there is room to stop, pause or continue when that makes sense for you.
